Get on in Here

In life’s storms, in the middle of all the madness, having a get on in here person changes everything, in an instant. As soon as they step forward the spiraling out of control feeling starts to ease. Plans start to be made, exit strategies (if needed) come together and light can be seen at the end of the tunnel.

The rescue can come in many forms but in my most depleated state, God sent the rescue.

I’m a struggling OSP (Oversensitive Person - it’s a real “condition”). God wired me this way and I’ve spent my life wondering why me and then secondly, what to do with it! Coupled with my tendency to be over empathic, I’m an emotional bomb looking for a place to implode! I share all this to bring perspective into the world through my eyes as I gingerly navigate the land mind of my new existence, trust becomes a major challenge for me. Trust in the form of balancing my OSP-ness and accepting grace extended in the human form.

All of this to say the struggle has been real, re-inventing me, my life, my goals etc. Where you stay, settle, unpack your bags is imperative. Home base is imperative. Home base is where you re-group, reboot, unplug, chill-ax, it’s important.

Not only is an OSP susceptible to other’s treatment of them or words spoken, the home base needs to be a cocooned sanctuary. It’s the only way to re-charge. You see it’s the maddening crowd that is overwhelming, I crave the quiet and stillness of solitude. It’s where the healing begins and the magic happens for me.

Isn’t that what Jesus did for us? He meets us where we are, extends His grace, mercy and love and says get on in here. The beauty however is that His here, is eternity in Heaven with Him.

If you don’t know Him, if you haven’t prayed the sinners prayer you need to, because some day, you will want to hear HIS “get on in here, child”! He is preparing the perfect home for all believers, all His children - this you will not want to miss - join the family today!
